Beauty becomes
a ritual.
ROLE — CONCEPT, SPATIAL DESIGN, 3D · ZONES — SKIN SCAN, SINKS, PRODUCT SHELVES
The project began with a narrative-driven approach, drawing inspiration from Cleopatra’s milk bath rituals as a
symbol of timeless beauty and indulgence. This story established the conceptual foundation, leading to the introduction of the hourglass form as a representation of eternal youth and continuity.

Surrounding golden ribbons evoke Egyptian opulence and sacred movement, framing the space as a ritual rather than a product display.
One ritual.
Several experiences.
SPATIAL SYSTEM

The Shelving System
The Interactive Experience
The shelving system follows the structure’s natural curvature and rhythm, integrating seamlessly into the design. Subtle placement and proportion create an effortless visual rhythm while preserving focus on the central installation.
At the heart of the installation, visitors engage with an interactive diagnostic experience by placing their hands onto a sculptural interface.
This hand-shaped sensor performs a non-invasive skin analysis—measuring elasticity, hydration, and overall condition through optical scanning and bio-impedance.
A suspended red fluid responds dynamically, rising to reflect youthful, resilient skin and descending to suggest aging or reduced elasticity.
Driven by a concealed microfluidic system that creates smooth, weightless motion, the installation transforms clinical data into an immersive, symbolic experience.
Integrated sink stations encourage tactile engagement, allowing users to test products directly on their skin. Paired basins and discreet built-in elements support a seamless ritual from application to cleansing, balancing functionality with elegance.
The Sink Stations

PROCESS / DEVELOPMENT
The installation positions Lancôme’s milk-based skincare as a contemporary continuation of timeless beauty practices.
Visitors place their hands on a sculpture that reads their skin’s elasticity. The red fluid rises or falls, and the booth recommends their formula to try at the sinks.

CLEOPATRA’S GOLD MILK FORMULA
Ritual,
reimagined.
Inspired by Cleopatra’s legendary milk baths—an early symbol of anti-aging luxury—this installation reimagines ancient beauty rituals through a contemporary, interactive experience for Lancôme.

From narrative to form.

Ideation
The idea grew from Cleopatra's milk baths: a beauty ritual, not a product. The hourglass became the central form because it speaks about time and skin longevity, and replacing the sand with red fluid lets it show each visitor's skin elasticity live. Golden ribbons then wrapped the space, turning a skin test into a ritual.

Gold is not decoration.
It is atmosphere.
Through reflective materials, warm lighting, and integrated skin analysis, the experience blends science, luxury, and heritage.
At its core, a monumental hourglass represents time and skin longevity, with fluid elements replacing sand to symbolize transformation.
